Within the Venus Glass factory, this employee welfare building brings everyday support spaces into a clear two-storey arrangement. Locker and sanitary facilities occupy the ground floor, while dining and preparation spaces sit above. A planted central courtyard gives the building a shared point of reference, connecting its practical programme with an open-air setting.
Everyday spaces for factory employees
The building organizes changing, dining and support functions across two levels. Clear circulation connects these spaces, with the central courtyard remaining visible in both the plans and the building’s external composition.

A planted centre
The courtyard interrupts the building’s long frontage, introducing planting between the two sides of the programme. Above, a broad glazed dining floor and terrace edges give the upper level an open character. The contrast between the more solid ground floor and the transparent upper volume defines the facade.
